........ The Euclid V ..... Do you remember ?

The Team Goon Network

Fullerton California is known as the birth place for many classic Punk bands, yet it also had an awesome skate spot in the early 80's too. The "Euclid V" was a place that skaters in Orange County remember. We thought it would be appropriate to go see what became of the "V". This was the place that allot of skaters had on their weekly skate list.

The V was a place that had lots of room to skate. On Saturdays you could find lots of skaters grinding the tops of the ditch or skating it as a massive snake run. The V had this tunnel that went underneath Euclid Avenue. This tunnel severed as a pas-thru to each side as well as a cool place to take a break and suck down the fruit punch that was purchased up the street. This place was true fun ....until...

Like most killer skate spots, the city authorities found it disturbing that kids were enjoying themselves in a self contained area that could not be damaged. At first skaters did not know that there was an order to roust skaters at the V. Initially the cops would come and skaters were told to leave. Skaters that were there figured that the session was over for the day and then would come back the next day. Then the situation escalated to where swarms of cops would come and arrest people for being here. Some of the arrested questioned their arrest and then the signs went up. It was then official that this was a major bust and the police exercised a zero tolerance to any skating.

The ditch is still virtually untouched since wheels last turned on this shreadable spot. Just keep in mind that this place is a major bust if you decide to take a run ..... there are NO places to hide
