Located down in the South Bay is a skate shop appropriately named - South Bay Skates right off the 405 freeway here in Southern California. As you pull up to the shop you can tell that the place is a little different when you see a Black Flag and a Misfits skate deck in the window. Then you enter the shop and see the walls and just freak at all the stuff in this place. |

The place has hundreds of old school decks all over the walls as well as banners and tons of related So Cal skate history items. On the back wall is a couple dozen classic Alva decks all grouped together with a healthy collection of Logan Earth Ski's on the main wall of the shop. |

Beyond all the vintage stuff, South Bay Skates carries one of the best selections of decks, wheels and trucks from every company out there. Of course they carry a good selection of skate shoes and shirts. They even carry the complete line of Punk Rock Skateboards from the pool decks all the way to the mini's as well as clothing. |
| The photos we have included in this piece do not do the place justice. You have to go by there and see it all for yourself. James, the owner is one of the coolest dudes around and he is still an active skater who loves to take down a big vert ramp or backyard pool. For sure anytime you are gonna go skate at the Torrance skatepark you have to stop in as well as if you want to go to a core shop with a huge selection of goods.
