| The Misfits kick off a 26 city tour with a killer line up consisting of, DI, Balzac, Agnostic Front, The Dickies and The Damned all on the bill. We headed down to San Diego which was the second stop of the tour. |
DI |
| DI opened is opening up all the shows on the tour, so you have to make sure that you get there early to not miss them. That is what is cool about this tour is that you have an all headliner show and coming to the show late insures that you will miss most of the action. DI blazed through their set playing all the hits and closing out with the song that Casey wrote that is an Adolescents classic, "Amoeba". |
Balzac |
Agnostic Front |
Next up was a band called Balzac. Got to give these guys mass props, their bands rips. They are from Japan and the only English they know is their songs, yet punk rock has never had language barriers. Followed by NYC's Agnostic Front that remains as full tilt as they always have. We had not seen them in 15 years and did not disappoint. |
The Damned |
| What can you possibly say about The Damned other than F!*kin GREAT! We have been lucky enough to see them play a few times in the last year and each time the show is excellent. they are one band that after 20 years of performing have never lost the formula that makes them a great band to see live. |
The Misfits |
|
The
featured band, The Misfits closed out the night. Sure this may not be the
original version with Glen Danzig yet it is still a good time none the
less. With original member Jerry Only as the front man on bass he is
joined by two guys who have been part of some killer bands. Dez Cadena
from early Black Flag fame on guitar and Marky Ramone of The Ramones on
drums. The Misfits show is really a merger of the 3 great bands put into
one. Their set is made up mostly of Misfits tunes mixed with Black Flag
and Ramones covers. The crowd was really into the show as they get a live
rendition of all 3 of the bands. Be sure to check the recommended Punk
shows link on the site for all the tour dates.
