| Here we are technically day two since it is 2:30am in the morning we got back on the road as we travel with the guys from DI to Seattle, Washington. The goal was to make it to Seattle in tome to check into the hotel and then get to the EMP (Experience Music Project) museum by 9pm so that we could see The Dickies and the Angry Samoans. |
We stopped about seven hours later up north to get some real sleep and a shower at a hotel that our On Star service had made reservations at. When we arrived at the hotel and they gave our rooms away to some traveling tabernacle – we couldn’t believe it. The only other thing available was a dive motel down the road. |

The lady that ran the place looked like a junkie, with her teeth missing and everything. Chickenhead passed out all the keys and said see you in a few hours. After taking a little snooze we headed out to grub and then get back on the road. |
| The crew ate a place called Aunt Mary’s. This was a cool place and served up some huge burgers and ice cold beers. Aunt Mary herself is a speed freek though …… awww, not the drug kind, but the race car kind. She had her place decked out with Indy Car, NASCAR, and speedboat memorabilia what a cool lady. She sat with the band and told us that she gets allot of big entertainers come through there, yet DI was the first Punk band. |

It was now about 9:15pm when we got into Seattle. Everyone got checked into their hotel rooms and for those going the plan was to meet in the lobby to head over to the EMP museum. Tonight’s entertainment in The Sky Church at the EMP was The Dickies, The Angry Samoans and The Dwarves. |
| We had just missed The Drawves play and were just in time to hear The Angry Samoans playing their version of “Highway to Hell”. Inside we found Deathbox skater Dave Reul enjoying a cocktail and having a good time as the Samoans blared. There was a fairly large crowd on hand for the show and everyone in attendance knew that there was no other place to be in Seattle than the EMP. |

The time was now midnight and The Dickies came on to a roaring audience. They went through an excellent set of songs and did a great rendition of classic Black Sabbath tune “Paranoid” – Ozzy would have been proud. The sound quality was totally perfect infact the CD quality sound was perfect no matter where you were inside. The back wall behind the stage was full of multi colored lights that flashed back and forth during the show that added to the overall experience. No Dickies show is complete without hearing Manny, Moe and Jack. Fans of all ages sang along to this song during which we had a little crowd surfing. Before they played “Wagon Train” Dickies singer Stan asked that we all share a moment of noise for Dee Dee Ramone as everyone there whistled and yelled. |
| The set ended with “Gigantor” and the crowd again sang along to this staple song. After they left the stage the crowd demanded an encore. |
| The guys took to the stage to perform one last song and then the show ended. Afterwards we congratulated them on an outstanding show. As we walked back in the warm night air we went right passed the skatepark across the street from the EMP. Some local were there enjoying a nice barge session with a few cold ones. It was now 2 am so we all went back to the hotel to call it a night. |
